According to a director with the Swiss Cheese Union, there are many ways to tell if the cheese has gone bad or not. The first thing that you need to do is smell the cheese. If it smells normal, then you can consume it with no worries. The second thing that one needs to check is whether or not any mold has grown on the surface of the cheese. If there is mold present, then you should throw out the food immediately.

The director also said that even if there are bacteria in the cheese when it is purchased from a store, they would die inside of your stomach within 10 minutes and hence will not affect your health in any way. He added that Swiss farmers ensure that their cows get only fresh grass and water and hence their milk does not develop chemicals that may eventually lead to cancer or other major health problems in humans.

What can you do with the cheese after its expiration date?

Swiss Cheese is a great tool to use for playing pranks on your friends and family. You can purchase a block of Swiss cheese and place it in your friend’s refrigerator without letting him/her know about it. When he/she wakes up the next morning, all his/her food will have a very strong odor of Swiss Cheese. The funny thing is that it will smell exactly like real cheese and not plastic. The person might become so disgusted by the smell that he/she would throw away all his/her food without giving it a second thought.
