Normally coconut crabs live on fleshy or fallen fruits; however, unexpectedly, they are predators, so sometimes they eat cats, dogs, kittens, birds, and even they can eat their own fellow coconut crabs. Besides this, they can also eat their exoskeleton. To survive and to build their protentional they also eat bones, the flesh of dead animals. They are also likely to eat marine animals.
Coconut crabs don’t eat humans but threatened by them. In some cases, they have shown aggressive behavior. The claw of a coconut crab has enough strength to crush human bones in minutes, so they are dangerous to humans.

Coconuts crabs are fond of eating tropical fruits such as coconuts, mangoes, papayas, etc. Coconut crabs can also eat decaying wood, plants, eggs, meat, etc. Coconut crabs are likely to eat blueberries, bananas, grapes, walnuts, wheat and germs.
