STEPS TO CHANGE A LIGHT BULB:

Change out the electric light bulb.

Turn off your electric fireplace/insert first. As an extra safety precaution, unplug your electric fireplace from the wall. Allow the bulbs to cool for 10-15 minutes before removing them so they aren’t too hot.

A Rear Access Panel should be located on the rear of your electric insert. A few screws generally hold this panel in place. To find out how to access the light bulbs on your individual model, consult your owner’s handbook. On the front of your fireplace, there may be a panel that opens.

Find the light bulbs and replace them. It must be on an easy approach every time you open up the door to remove the bulbs, rotate them in a counterclockwise direction. Note that halogen light bulbs are used in certain electric fireplaces. In such a case don’t try to reach out the bulb directly with the hands.

Your skin includes natural oils that degrade the glass’s surface, reducing its lifespan and resulting in low illumination. Handling halogen light bulbs should be done with gloves or a napkin.

Screw your replacement bulb in clockwise to complete the installation. Refer to the section after the 6 step method to changing an electric fireplace light bulb to determine what type of bulb you require.

Use the necessary screws to secure the back access door.

Turn on the flame effect on your electric fireplace. Your flames should be glistening and dancing as they did when you first acquired it!
