The deer can take less than 10 minutes to find peanut butter. The question of how much it takes to find peanut butter is one I have been asked many times. This page will describe the experiments which were conducted in order to try and answer this question. But first, let me discuss some other things you need to know about before we get started:

Silky Terrier Dog Breed Playing Around- Everything was done on our farm (about 10, 000 acres worth).
- We are located in New Zealand, which is part of the continent of Oceania.
- This experiment took place during winter (June 2008) to June 2011.
- I was not present for most of this experiment, so my father and his colleagues did most of the work.
- Other things were tested during the course of this experiment, but we will only talk about those that have notable results at the end of it all.
- All animals were released into their respective cages after testing.
When designing the experiment, I thought that enough food should be provided for all animals to have a surplus of food that would last them up to 1 month or so. This is because I could not think of an animal that would eat this much food in one sitting, and it could be argued that they may not find their food for a certain period of time. The kinds of foods used are listed below:
Chocolate spreads (chocolate peanuts) Peanut butter Paste (100% pure beef) Biscuits Nuts Bread Jam Marshmallows Other food (notably dog and cat foods, but this was terminated at the end of June 2011.)
A cage is a pen with an open top and no sides, which allows animals to climb out. The experiment involved roughly 90 cages (50 experiments). The deer took roughly 5 minutes to find the food, while the wallabies took about 30-60 seconds. All other tests were done in under 3 minutes.
