It is possible to partially freeze tequila, but not completely. However, it must be kept at a very low temperature in order to chill. This feat is beyond the capabilities of a typical freezer at home. It’s difficult to freeze tequila because of the high alcohol content (about 40% by volume).

Does freezing tequila ruined it?

To put it mildly, the freezer may not be the best place to store your tequila if you’re sipping on some low-quality stuff. A tequila “that is too cold for you to smell the aromas” is almost a guarantee if you do this, says Rodriguez.
