Roadrunners eat bees. bird eggs, bird seed, cockroaches, corn, carrion, carrots, eggs, quail eggs, grasshoppers, roaches, and snails. You can also expect roadrunners to eat birds, baby birds, baby quail, cactus, bunnies, baby rabbits, box turtles, frogs, fish, lizards, snakes, pigeons, and scorpions.

Most roadrunners will eat turkey eggs, tarantulas, tomatoes, rodents, mealworms, rattlesnakes, seeds, sunflower seeds, kangaroo rats, turtles, small birds, rock squirrels, mice, jackrabbits, and quail.

Bread is not the best thing for roadrunners to eat because it doesn’t provide them with any health benefits. Roadrunners can eat doves, dead animals, gophers, hummingbirds, horned lizards, ground squirrels, gila monster, meat, plants, tortoises, peanuts, plants, grass, and fruits.

Chickens, coyotes, cats, and dogs might be too big for roadrunners to eat. However, it is possible for roadrunners to eat small dogs, cats, kittens, and baby chicks. On the other hand, roadrunners will eat chipmunks, prairie dogs,  and other birds as well. They don’t eat their young.

Roadrunners tend to eat based on opportunity. So, if there’s an opportunity to attack or eat another animal it will do so. As an omnivore, roadrunners will eat various kinds of insects, fruit, and vegetables. If you decide to feed roadrunners, then you will need to take all of these things into consider.
