Making a time-lapse film may appear like an overwhelming task. However, the good news is that your iPhone can make it simple!
Built-In Camera App: Use Time Lapse Shooting Mode
The time-lapse mode of shooting that comes with the iPhone Camera app is extremely simple to utilize. Start the Camera app and choose to use the “Time Lapse” mode to shoot.
To select a shooting option you need to swipe vertically over the display. If your iPhone is held in a horizontal position then you’ll have to scroll vertically. While you swipe the camera mode that is active near the shutter button will appear in yellow.
Like you do when shooting a still picture it is possible to use the touchscreen to adjust your focal point. Then, you can swipe left or right to alter the brightness (image luminosity).
You can also press and hold to lock the focus and exposure. There will be the words “AE/AF Lock” displayed on your screen once those settings are set to lock. This will ensure that the focus and the exposure won’t alter, regardless of the subjects or lighting change within the scene.
If you’re ready to begin recording your time-lapse video then press the shutter button in red. An indicator that rotates appears in the area around the shutter button as you’re recording on your iPhone record is in progress.
Click the shutter to end the recording. The time-lapse footage will be saved to the built-in Photos apps on the iPhone. It’s available inside the All Photos album and also in the Time Lapse album. Click to play the play icon (arrow in a circle) to play your time-lapse video
You can also use your video editing features within the Photos app to modify your time-lapse video.
You can crop, trim, or straighten the video. Also, you can make your video more appealing by altering the brightness and color. You can also transform your time-lapse video into either black or white.
