At first, they search for underwater plants like grass, cattails, and grass to get a shelter for their protection. They get attached to that plant for a week or more with a secreted sticky substance. Baby tadpoles eat small particles of host plants and algae.

Small frogs produce small tadpoles, while large ones such as bullfrogs produce a larger tadpole. So, their size does not have any specific measurement. 

Moreover, the color of the baby tadpole also depends on the species. The color may range from black, speckled, and green. Baby tadpoles are part of the development process of frogs, and within few days, they start to transform with the inclusion of legs in their body structure.
