The BMW Premium Package is an optional upgrade for the 3-Series. It was introduced in 2002 (for the model year 2003). The package comprises various cosmetic and technical features, which are otherwise available only as stand-alone options on the vehicle. These include leather upholstery or Dakota leather upholstery, 18 or 19-inch alloy wheels, headlight washers, rain-sensing wipers, automatic climate control, Park Distance Control, and Xenon headlights.

Package prices are often higher than the combined price of the individual options. The better-equipped BMW 3 Series are often equipped with the Premium Package as standard. It is not available for the 3-Series convertible, or for the diesel models.

The BMW Premium Package contains a variety of features that can be added to your car. Leather upholstery and Dakota leather upholstery are both options, as well as 18 or 19-inch alloy wheels, headlight washers, automatic climate control, Park Distance Control, and Xenon headlights.

In addition to individual options, the BMW Premium Package is sometimes included as standard equipment on more expensive 3 Series models. It is not available for the 3 Series convertible or for diesel-powered vehicles.

How do I know if my BMW has a premium package?

If you have a 3-series BMW, look at your vehicle identification number. It is located on the dashboard near the base of the windshield. The first three digits are 335 for sedans and 328 for coupes and convertibles. If these numbers are followed by “61” or “66,” your car has this package option.
