METHOD 1

This method uses distilled white vinegar and grapefruit oils. Grapefruit oil lightens the stain and removes rancid odors.

A liter of lukewarm, boiled water should be added to a container.

Place a cup of distilled vinegar in the container.

Add at least one teaspoon of grapefruit oil.

Combine to make a cleaning solution.

Use a non-abrasive sponge or brush to clean the area.

To scrub urine-stained hardwood floors, use a sponge or soaked brush.

Once the urine stain has disappeared, rinse the area with water to remove any remaining cleaning solutions.

Use a towel to dry the hardwood.

METHOD 2

Hydrogen peroxide can be used to lighten dark-colored hardwoods. However, it is not bleach. Hydrogen peroxide removes urine from hardwood floors and lightens dark urine stains. This method is only for light-colored hardwood.

Use concentrated 3% hydrogen peroxide to clean cloth.

As a pre-treatment, use the soaked cloth to scrub the urine-stained hardwood.

Cover the entire area with a clean, absorbent cloth after you have finished scrubbing.

Use hydrogen peroxide to soak the absorbent cloth.

The absorbent cloth should be placed on the stain for at least an hour

After drying, examine the urine to see if any stains have disappeared or lightened.

Then rinse the area with clean water.

METHOD 3

Baking soda can be used as both a cleaning agent or deodorizer in this way. Baking soda works best when combined with vinegar. White vinegar is required to complete this cleaning process. These two stain removers together can take out dark urine stains from hardwood floors.
