Replacing tie rods is a relatively easy task that can be done without special tools. It takes less than an hour to do the job, but it may take longer if you have to remove the tires. Follow these steps to replace the tie rod on your Toyota Sequoia:

• Place your jack under the lower control arm near the front driver’s side wheel.
• Raise the jack until it contacts the frame rail, then lower it slightly so there is pressure on the control arm.
