Will a snake chase you if you run?

Even though rattlesnakes are dangerous, they’re not aggressive and won’t chase you, unlike most snakes in general. People who can’t see them while walking or climbing may come into conflict with these creatures.

What to do if a snake is chasing you?

If at all possible, place yourself so that the bite is at or below your heart’s level. Avoid spending the night in a place where your adversary is likely to ambush you. Why do snakes run away from humans?

“It’s hard for them to see us as anything but a potential predator. If they feel threatened, they’ll protect themselves, but if we leave them alone, they’ll protect us.” In other words, if you come across a snake in the woods, you should keep a safe distance and observe it.

Are snakes aggressive towards humans?
