They are classified as insects in the order “Diptera.” The initial stage starts with an egg, then larva, pupa, and adult fly. 

What Baby Flies Look Like?

The baby flies live within moist and decaying material and reserve energy for the next phase, pupating. Usually, these baby flies occur in an elongated shape with a pale color. Then these larvae become a maggot which has a soft body with no legs. That’s why they start looking like tiny worms. 

The eggs usually hatch within 24 hours. Their bodies are small and delicate, which comes with a slight orange tint, similar to worms. In contrast, larvae appear in different colors ranging from dark red to brown. However, these baby flies have a length of 1 ½ of an inch. At this stage, these baby flies don’t have wings and legs. These baby flies can crawl so that you can identify them quickly.  

Some individuals refer to baby flies to be hazardous, well yes, they are a human health hazard. These baby flies are full of germs and bacteria and are so small that they can sneak into fruits without being noticed. It can also stick only hairy bodies from where they can lead into your food. On the other hand, these baby flies consist of healing properties that are suitable for burnt patients.
