Two terms that are usually misinterpreted by individuals are stall speed selection and stall speed converter.

The speed at which the converter limits that of the engine speed in respect to the transmission output is known as stall speed.

To increase your engine’s RPM the converter will have to prevent power transfer to the transmission. Pressing down on your gas pedal will normally increase your stall speed. So, if you intend to go at a higher speed you’ll have to increase your stall speed.

Why is a stall converter important?

Now, if you’re someone that races professionally with cars, having a stall converter on your car will help you change between speeds effortlessly.

Asides from that, it also tends to increase your launch off the line faster and also increases tow capacity

When riding a car with a stall converter you have to consider the weight of your car and the RPM at peak torque.
