Silky Terrier Dog Breed Playing AroundFirst, open the driver’s side door and locate the small black box near the floorboard on the right side of the seat. This is called the Belt Buckle Sensor. There are two wires coming out of it – one red and one yellow. Cut the yellow wire (or simply remove it from the connector) and re-connect the red wire. That’s all there is it! The next time you buckle up, the warning chime will not sound.
To re-enable the chime, cut the red wire and reconnect the yellow one.
The seat belt warning chime is designed to alert you that your seat belt is not fastened. If you’re carrying a lot of cargo and/or driving with the seats folded down, it’s best to leave this system on. The key holder can also disable your seat belt alarm by pressing and holding down the unlock button on your remote for 10 seconds or more while buckled in. That way, if their hands are full they won’t have to dig around looking for keys.
