I couldn’t use an elevated toilet seat since I still had to lift my full leg. It was like doing acrobatics while using the restroom. In comparison to knee replacement, my early pooping experiences were not unpleasant. At the very least, you’ll be able to flex your leg slightly after TKR. As time passes, flexion improves, which aids in restroom use.

Prepare the toilet and bathroom. Remove any clogging items such as throw rugs, scales, cleaning supplies, and decorations. If you have many bathrooms, choose the one with the most space. In the first few weeks after the surgery, I depended on a walking cane as well as the sink countertop for assistance whenever climbing onto or off the toilet bowl.
